Susan has 17 years of experience in capital-intensive project development.   Her experience spans planning, siting, and design to finance and construction, depending upon which of the 30+ projects she is referencing in her portfolio.  She sees beyond the spreadsheets to the stakeholders around each project.  She considers it a privilege to be trusted to steward limited resources for the good of companies and communities.

Her portfolio spans across sectors to include manufacturing, commercial real estate, data center, defense, healthcare, lab, science, and technology facilities.  She has worked with business entity types to include public corporations, private firms, governments, and startups.

A native of Warsaw, Indiana, a medical device manufacturing cluster, Susan grew up grounded in a Midwestern community and chose to attend Purdue University.  She earned a dual degree in Building Construction Management from the Polytechnic Institute and Business from the Krannert School of Management.  She began her career at the Pentagon Renovation Program just months after September 11, 2001, and has worked for AECOM, Equity Office Properties REIT, HDR Inc, and as a board member of the National Capital chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.  She joined Global Location Strategies in 2014.

Susan is a graduate of the Founder Institute, supports local community organizations, enjoys embarking on outdoor adventures with her husband, John, traveling to the mountain and coastal towns of the Carolinas, and attending live music events.
