If You Don’t Build It, They Won’t Come.

More than 75 people packed the meeting room at last week’s Kershaw County Economic Development Summit to hear GLS Founding Principal Didi Caldwell’s thoughts on how Kershaw County measures up in the effort to attract major industry.

Much of what Didi said was based upon years of experience and an extensive tour she took of Kershaw County earlier that day. However, one important piece of advice she shared applies to all communities. If a community wants to be seriously considered for an industrial site selection project, “I can tell you [that] if you don’t build it, then they won’t come,” she said.

The Kershaw Chronicle-Independent covered the Summit and Didi's presentation in detail, which you can read by clicking here.
