Amazon's Search for $1 Billion in Incentives

In an article published in the Wall Street Journal in January, it was revealed that in addition to its second headquarters search, the Amazon team set a goal in 2017 to secure an additional $1 billion in incentives for other projects.  While the Amazon team removed this goal in 2018 because 'it wasn't the right measure for success,' this new information brings the debate about incentives back to to the national spotlight.  President and Founding Principal of GLS, Didi Caldwell, provides some of her thoughts and comments to the incentive discussion within the article.
