Lisa Franklin, CEcD, EDFP, is a recognized leader in the economic development profession. With more than 35 years of experience providing value to economic development organizations and communities as both a practitioner and consultant, she is frequently called upon to provide innovative solutions for economic development organizations to improve the overall effectiveness of their program and technology-led initiatives. As an Advisor at GLS, Lisa will contribute to strategic initiatives, client relationships, and platform development for LOIS, the company's site and building database platform.
In her previous position at Evergy, Lisa spent 27 years managing the company's economic development local partner investment program and LOIS. Under her tenure, LOIS has become one of the leading economic development site and building databases in the marketplace.
Lisa is an active member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER), the Utility Economic Development Association (UEDA), the Missouri Economic Development Council (MEDC), and the National Rural Economic Development Association (NREDA). She also serves as a board member for the Heartland Basic Economic Development Course.
Lisa holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Missouri Southern State University. She received the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation from IEDC in 1995 and her Economic Development Financial Professional (EDFP) certification in 1997.
