A native of Kielce, Poland, Kornelia moved to Charleston, South Carolina to attend school on a cross country and track and field scholarship. Her interest in economic development was initially sparked while working one summer for the South Carolina Department of Commerce's European Office in Munich, Germany. Following graduation, Kornelia worked as a data analyst before returning to Krakow, Poland to work in banking operations.
Kornelia returned to the United States to attend the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business where she earned her International MBA, while also working in supply chain management with United Parcel Service. Prior to joining GLS, Kornelia managed the Greenville Area Development Corporation’s research efforts to support business recruitment and retention.
At GLS, Kornelia works as a Location Intelligence Specialist to provide strategic research and analysis to clients regarding location decisions. She also supports the firm’s initiatives to further integrate data sources into its software platforms, Lasso and Site Shepherd.
Kornelia is a graduate of both the College of Charleston where she earned her undergraduate in Finance and Accounting; and the University of South Carolina, where she received an International Master of Business Administration. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and cycling.
