Turner Inducted Into Site Selectors Guild

Monty Turner, Principal and Vice President of Operations at Global Location Strategies (GLS), has been inducted into the Site Selectors Guild (SSG), the world’s foremost organization of location advisory consultants. Membership to SSG is exclusive to the most elite professionals in the business and individuals must be nominated and approved by their industry peers.

Turner was inducted as an associate member, a new designation for active site selection professionals who have at least three years of experience and multiple completed projects, are recognized among their industry peers, and adhere to the Guild’s Code of Conduct.

“Monty, like all of our incoming members, is a highly-qualified professional who brings new and broad expertise to our membership,” said SSG Board Chair Didi Caldwell. “With the addition of our first executive director, Rick Weddle, and now our new members, we’re positioning the association for future growth and new opportunities.”

The mission of The Site Selectors Guild is to advance the profession of international corporate site selection by promoting the profession and providing education, networking and other services to those involved in the industry. As the first and only group of its kind, the Site Selectors Guild brings together a dynamic network of site selectors from around the world, combining their talent and expertise to create an invaluable resource, unmatched in its quality, for both corporations seeking site selection assistance and economic development organizations.

Turner has been with GLS since 2010 and has advised corporate location decisions valued at more than $10 billion in capital investment throughout North America, as well as in Asia, Europe, and South America. He advises corporations on their location strategy for capital-, labor-, and resource-intensive investment projects with a particular focus on advanced manufacturing, metals and composite materials, and life sciences industries.
